Can I take a regular sized backpack and a carry on size suitcase onto the plane?

Take a holiday, and then moved out of state law, I have a lot of things. My husband and I are a couple of bags of control, but I have important documents and my laptop, and things I’m not ready for review. So I was wondering if you can so that each one carried in a backpack and a small suitcase or travel bag. We took a ride U. S. Airways and American Airlines in the U.S. zurückThx!

Just your papers and accessories laptop backpack. Then the bag is more like a briefcase, which is classified as a personal item, but then not be able to carry a bag and handeln.Erkundigen Check with the airline.
