Would I be allowed to take fully assembled desktop computer (no monitor) with me on board of plane as carry on

I am a change and I want my desktop computer to take with me. If the security check at the airport will allow me, my computer (tower only to take no monitor), who left the plane with me as carry on luggage dimensions are within the guidelines? I do not want to break is that I am about computers.
