Airplane carry on rules?
I looked on the official website about what your allowed to bring but they left a few of my questions unanswered and I thought some of you might know from experience. I need to know if you can bring these items as a carry-on on an airplane (its a domestic US flight if that matters): pencil sharpener, sewing needle, thick bamboo knitting needles, solid bar of soap, solid deodorant (powder, not gel), eyeliner pencil, birth control pill pack.

thick bamboo knitting needles – even though you’ll probably get hassled, knitting needles are on the approved carryon list
solid bar of soap – yes
solid deodorant (powder, not gel) – yes (although you may want to put this in your 1 qt ziploc bag of liquids

I’m pretty sure that the following are allowed: soap, deodorant, while one of the small travel sizes, birth control and probably the eyeliner pencil is put into Ordnung.Ich m ‘not sure the sharpener (probably) and pretty sure you do not get to the needles on board. Could be used as a weapon. If you do not need, do not risk. Remember that when you see it happen, it will take, and not always recover. In addition, he spends much time and the time of others, if a thorough search for you or your belongings are not benötigt.Ist is sad that we have things to bring on board such as eye pins are limited for security reasons! At least not yet banned books. . .
Makeup and soap, as long as it’s not liquid, and *small* deoderants are fine. Meds are always okay. The pencil sharpener shouldn’t be a problem, but the needles might be.
sewing and knitting needles are okay…
