Because of security reason, you can’t carry liquid on the airplane. Putting it in my luggage is a bit risky, because the luggage gets thrown around by the guys.

  1. I would also buy some bubble wrap and wrap the bottles in it. I usually wrap a little newspaper around and then the bubble wrap. Like someone else said, wrap your clothes or a towel around the bottles.

  2. I packed a bottle of champagne in several plastic bags and in between layers of clothing (rolled up military-style) and it was fine, even after the luggage was lost.

  3. i would mail it home. make sure you say that its fragile at the post office and use a good amount of bubble wrap when packing it in box to send

  4. Just roll it in a large towel, and place it in the middle of your suitcase. If your suitcase is tightly packed and the bottle won’t move around, nothing will happen to it. I transported many bottles of wine this way over the years, and they never broke.

  5. pack your wine well with bubble wrap or bunch of newspapers and put it in a box securing all sides, then put another box and label fragile upon check in
