The Graf Zeppelin II, LZ-130, the last rigid airship built, could do 81 mph, which was well above the stall speed of the average bi-plane of the day.
Rigid Airships, as opposed to blimps, cut the air more cleanly and, because of their bigger size, were able to far larger, and many more, engines.
No , the airplanes would rev the motor and glide down to pick up air speed . They had no way to “Catch” them .
sure they could, sweety. now finish your corn.
Re docking air planes in flight was attempted in the 50s. they found the maneuvers needed to try re docking were too dangerous, and it hasn’t been success full on the other attempts made every decade.
no they could not
No way Jose! How would they do that when a plane is moving @ 100? mph and the zeppelin is almost at a standstill? Do the math. It would not work genius
isnt that in some movie?
