Are Double A Batteries For Cameras Allowed On Carry-on?



I was wondering if they allowed batteries for your electronic devices on the airplane for carry on at American Airlines.

  1. Yes batteries are allowed. Batteries in a device – like a camera, MP3 player or whatever are fine. If you want to carry spare batteries, they are best carried in their original package, rather than carried loose.
    I have carried several 4 packs of AA batteries with no problems.
    Edit: If they are not in the original package, then you should wrap a rubber band around them, or tape them together so they don’t spread all over your bag.
    Have a good flight.
