  1. Yes, make-up is allowed. But, anything liquid, cream, gel, or aerosol must be in a container 3.4oz and under and must be in 1 ziploc quart sized bag. This includes liquid foundations, lip gloss, mascara, hairspray, etc. And a half empty 6oz bottle will not be permitted. The actual container must be under 3.4oz.
You are allowed one of these bags per person and it must be scanned separately at the x-ray machine.
Any medical liquid is allowed, including contact lens solution, as are solid deodorants, but I usually place these in another ziploc (gallon sized) and remove it from my bag so that the techs can easily see it.
You also must remove any coats and jackets to have them x-rayed, along with your shoes. I wear slip-ons when I travel so that I’m not there lacing up my shoes for 5 hours.
Fingernail cutter, scissors under 4 inches in length, tweezers, and safety razors (not straight razors like Sweeney Todd) are permitted. http://www.tsa.dhs.gov/travelers/airtrav…http://www.tsa.dhs.gov/311/index.shtm
Laptops must be removed from their cases and placed in a separate bin with nothing else in it.
Keep your boarding pass with you (don’t send it though the x-ray) in case they want to check it.
I flew this past weekend and the x-ray tech actually checked each and every liquid item I had to make sure that it was the right size. He read the labels on things that were labeled and thoroughly checked those that had no labels.

  2. Go to your airline’s website, there should be a section somewhere that tells you what is allowed. Otherwise check the TSA: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/p…
In my experience makeup is okay, as long as it is in small bottles. Also, in my experience what they allow on board is different according to airport and what “color” alert we happen to be at.

  3. In your carry-on, you can only have liquids in 3 oz. containers or less and all of these little containers must be able to fit in one sandwich size ziplock baggie. Don’t bother with anything sharp at all, no nail clippers, no scissors, no eyebrow shavers. Keep it light because they will make you take off your jacket and your shoes. NO JOKE.
You can also look up your airports website and then go to their security page.
    Happy travels!

  4. Only makeup in a 3.4 oz (or under) container is allowed in carry on bags on airplanes. All liquids, creams, and gels have to be in a ziplock bag, including liquid foundations, makeup remover, mascara, lotions, lip gloss, hairspray, spray deodorant, hair gel, etc. Nail polish is not allowed (or at least at the airport where I was it wasn’t.) Once I was traveling with a nail polish; they took it and threw it away. Make sure you don’t have any sharp objects in your pockets, even if it’s a beauty tool. This means no nail clippers, scissors, tweezers, etc; they will take it away. Have a safe trip :D
