  1. As long as it’s nothing dangerous, you should be able to keep it wrapped. I’ve done it and as long as they can x-ray it, you’re fine.

  2. leave it unwrapped or they will unwrap it

  3. It should be ok because the security officers will assume its only a gift and doesnt have any contaband items in it.

  4. You can wrap anything you want. They only tell you to leave it unwrapped so you don’t become irate when they want to open it. I usually wrap mine but am fully prepared to unwrap it (I bring extra wrapping in case).

  5. There is a good chance they will make you unwrap it. They may not make you but there is a good enough chance that they will that I wouldn’t risk wrapping it beforehand. Which sucks… I hate all the inconvenience

  6. I think it depends on what the item is & it’s size.Besides, your item will have to go through the x ray machine.I think it shoudn’t be a problem but if you are still concern,I’ll call the airline if I were you.

  7. I would leave it unwrapped, but you can as long as you wrapped it and know the contents of it.
    http://www.tsa.gov has the latest restrictions.

  8. You can take the gift on board but you will have to unwrap it for obvious resions.
Comming home to Australia from Japan, I had wraped gifts that I had to take on the plane and show to Customs. All I had to do was un wrp it and I was fine!

  9. Leave it unwrapped and wrap it when you get there.
