  1. Bring any medications you need. You may want to bring a snack for the flight. If you have space bring an extra set of under garments just in case your luggage doesn’t take the same flight that you do.

  2. You could bring a book, a computer, a snack because sometimes airplane food isn’t all that great. Just make sure you are careful about the liquids you bring. They have a lot of restrictions. You can’t have anything with a volume higher than 100ml (3 oz). It all has to fit in a 1-litre (1 quart) sized bag. They often have these bags available at the airport. Also with the computer, in the UK they will do a test on it which involves them swabbing it with some sort of cloth and then putting it into a machine. This takes under 5 minutes but if you are bringing a computer don’t cut it too close with the timing.

  3. change of clothes, light jacket, toiletries, a book/magazine, passport/ID, insurance cards, meds, & snacks that are allowed.
