I am going to NY(not the city) this summer and i don’t know if i can bring it on the plane. I really want to bring it cuz im going to be with my dad and he is the one eho bought it for me and i want to show him that i enjoy and appriciate it.

Yes. You can pack it in your carry on,however, dnt pack too much stuff in the bag because you will have to remove it and place it in a container alone for thorough screening. The same goes for any other large electronics (laptops, dvd players, projectors, breathing machines, etc). Keep tht in mind when packing your carryone so there will be access for you and/or the screener. Hope I helped. Have fun with your dad!!
I wouldn’t see it as a problem. You could always call the airline and ask them if it can be a carry item.
