  1. you have not specified whether you are travelling domestic or international. rules differ slightly, depending on this.
    however, generally you are allowed a piece of hand-baggage (the size and weight specifications can be found in the website of the carrier/ on the ticket). generally you can carry some emergency and expensive articles. you are not allowed, legally, to carryfood or drinks… the officials may let you take some half-eaten chocolate bar sometimes, but that is NOT the rule… best is to avoid carriyng things which you don’t need immediately, in-flight. no cosmetics, please, and no fluid articles… like lotions, or gels…
    for an exact list, do give a call to the toll free number that your carrier has provided. they will give you the accurate list of what not to carry. thanks.

You may also want to check on the airlines website to see if there is a weight limit for your carry on baggage. It varies slightly from airline to airline, and some strictly enforce it other don’t.
