  1. A lot will depend on your airline. On most airlines, you are allowed one carry on bag and one personal item (such as a laptop, camera bag, purse, etc.) When choosing a carry on bag, it is best to first consult your airline’s carry on baggage allowance. A good bag will fit either under the seat in front of you or in the overhead luggage bins. It is a good idea to use a bag without a hard outside shell so that if it is a tight fit, you can hopefully squeeze it in. If your carry on bag is too big- don’t worry- it’s not the end of the world. U.S. domestic carriers allow you to “gate check” your bag. In this event, you would leave your bag at the end of the boarding bridge and retrieve it on your way out of the plane at your arrival city.
Hope this helps and good luck!!

  2. You’re good with all of the above. The most important thing to check is that the bag isn’t over the “right size” size. The other thing remember is that you can’t take ANY liquids through security that are more than 3 oz and they must all be in quart size ziplock bag that has to be taken out of your tote and go through xray. You’re best bet is to go to the TSA website for all rules and regs before you fly.

  3. A tote bag is fine, although I prefer a backpack because it is easier to carry through the airport.
You can take batteries only if they are in your carry-on luggage. They are not allowed in checked luggage as of a month or so ago.
IPod and other electronics are fine to bring on, they will just ask you not to use them during take off and landing.

  4. it kinda depends on what ur gonna bring i guess….
like a digital camera is fine, and so is an iPOD…i believe batteries are ok, but if they’re in a pack that’s been opened…IDK if security will check you.
I carry around big purses(like BIG bags, totes n stuff), and I’m flying on saturday all day, so I’ll have my camera, iPOD, laptop, ANIMAL CRACKERS(lol to anyone that got that)..wallet and other things that are usually in my purse.
