What Kind Of Backpack Is The Best To Use As A Carry On In An Airplane?

Hi,
this summer i am going to thailand for about 10 days. I am allowed one checked bag, and one carry on bag. I wanted some sort of adidas bag for my checked luggage, and i wanted to use a backpack for my carry on. What are the best things i should buy?

  1. One that is in the 15-25 liter range and has a mesh frame. Thailand is hot and likely you will be using your carry-on bag as a day pack. It therefore pays to have a good quality backpack with a mesh frame that allows air to circulate between your body and the backpack.
I have the Deuter Cross Air for this, but there are other good companies with mesh-frame models.

  2. A northface bag. They offer a lot of features and a nice durable (often weather safe) bag for a fairly reasonable price. You can also get these bags year round at many retailers and do not have to worry about ordering them online. They make different sizes depending on what you need. But you can only have one with a maximum of 22″ height in order to meet most airline’s carry-on restrictions.
