   I don’t think it counts. But if you want to be safe, call the airline you’re flying on. They all have 800 customer service numbers.

   i don’t think you could bring a cake to an airplane put to be sure call the air line and find out

   I would call your airline and ask them because that seems to be a foggy area.

   Here’s the US Transportation Security Administration’s website with their list of permitted and prohibited items: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/airtravel/p… Problem is they don’t really address cake! I would think if there wasn’t any of much frosting you’d be OK….. frosting could be called a cream…. right? You could check with your carrier, but I’m not sure they could tell you. You could try asking the TSA… they have a contact us page scroll to passenger and traveler information and see if you can get an answer…. here’s the link: http://contact.tsa.dhs.gov/default.aspx It could just come down to a judgment call by each individual screener at security.
