What’s Iberia Airline’s Weight Limit/size On Luggage & Carry-on On Economy Flight Between Lisbon And Malaga?

I read something like 20kg, so that’s 44 lbs. Hardly anything. I called the airline office in the US and got no answer. Just transferred to a voice mail to leave message, did so, and haven’t heard from them yet. I also tried their website and couldn’t find guidelines from there either or I did not see. I hope I could get faster answer here. If I exceed the 20kg limit, how much do I pay for the excess, is it by pound/kilo or set amount up to say 30kg. Appreciate any info.

    Hold luggage allowance
Iberia applies a certain luggage allowance, either by weight or by pieces, depending on the origin and destination of your flight. This allowance will the same for outbound and return travel and will be determined by the country of origin of the journey
If you have a connecting flight with another airline, please check the allowance for your combination, because it may vary in respect of the one generally applicable to Iberia.
Each company in the oneworld alliance applies its own weight allowance policy for passengers whose trip starts with them. Further Information

If this weight is exceeded, a financial penalty must be paid depending on the destination you are travelling to and the number of kilos in excess of the allowance.

Check the exceptions to the allowance permitted for some American destinations in this table
    Piece system:
This system establishes the maximum number of items, the weight and the specific size which will be carried free of charge. If any of these requirements are exceeded (number of items, weight per item and size of each item), the items will be considered excess baggage.
Baggage on connecting flights to/from any of these destinations with a company which is not part of the oneworld alliance cannot be checked in through to the final destination using the piece system, it can instead using the weight system. In this case, checking in by no. of items can only be requested as far as the airport at which the passenger changes companies. Further Information
