WHAT AM I ALLOWED TO TAKE ON AN AIRLINE CARRY ON?

Your most appropriate gamble for all airline transport is to check out www.tsa.gov for all info. All questions have been answered there. This changes frequently, so I would double check with your airline. When we flew mid February, we could take small sizes of lotions,etc (3 oz or less, with all of them together in a clear ziplock bag), which was different from when we flew in January, which was different from when we flew in December. If we are staying in a hotel, we place all that kind of stuff, as well as nail clippers,etc in checked baggage (as if it gets misplaced by the airlines, the hotel has shampoo etc). We pack a change of clothes, pajamas,swimsuit, medications, a book in our carry-on.

If you’re traveling into or out of the UK the restrictions are slightly different… metric for one thing, and 100ml bottles (3.4 oz instead of 3 oz in a one liter bag 20cm x 20cm (8″ x 8″) instead on one quart 8″ x 7.75″). Check the British Airways website: http://baa.com/ If you’re traveling in the US, I’d go with the smaller size bottles, but the metric size bag should be OK.
