Airline Carry On Rules For Luggage

Are you allowed to put your shampoo, conditioner, soap, et cetera, in my checked bag? I know the 3-1-1 rule as far as carry on, but does this apply to checked bags as well? TSA and US Airways’ websites don’t answer these questions, so please site where you get your information. I would prefer not to just get the “yes, you are allowed” answers, please. Specific sites or first-hand knowledge with this airline is best =)
